Ex-'Days of our Lives' actor charged with selling cocaine out of home
Fri May 17, 2013
As noted, he played Will Horton for less than a year. Wonder if the reason for the quick recast had something to do with his drug business and/or use. Regardless, the viewers "won" with the recast as the NuWill (Chandler Massey) is a terrific actor.
Task force recommends building new school at site of Sandy Hook massacre
Sat May 11, 2013
I like the idea of putting in a pleasant environment (like an atrium) in the section where the killings occurred. Knocking down the building and rebuilding on the same ground just feels like the shooter's reach is extended and continues to have negative impact on that community. Triumph over his evi …
Gun vote stirs passion at Ayotte town hall meetings
Tue Apr 30, 2013
This is a perfect example of the representatives ignoring the wishes of their constituents. Sigh. The people who've been elected don't represent the people, anymore. There is plenty of blame to go around on both sides of the political equation. I think we need to find independent candidates and kick …
Americans sticking with cheaper store brands, survey finds
Tue Apr 16, 2013
The president of a Fortune 500 company pronounced the company would NOT private label their products. That stance quickly changed when Wally World threatened to stop carrying the name brand if the F500 company didn't play ball. Sometimes, there are differences but most of the time we can't tell any …
'Alarm fatigue' can kill, hospital group says
Mon Apr 8, 2013
I agree that the primary reason is staffing levels. I've been a patient in a hospital several times and almost every nurse and aide I've had have provided excellent care including for my psyche when I needed some comfort. Four years ago, I had a tracheotomy. My alarm kept going off and the nurse kep …
Study: 3-D movies leave many feeling sick
Mon Feb 25, 2013
My husband and I drove separately to a 3D movie. When we got home, I learned he experienced a migraine with auras. That was dangerous for him and for others. It didn't start until he was on the road. Now that we know it affects him that way, I'll be doing the driving if/when we go to a 3D movie.
Surprise side effect: New specs may fix color blindness
Fri Feb 22, 2013
I didn't learn I had color deficiency until I had a physical for college when I owned up to not seeing some of the numbers. All through school, the test administrator would ask if I could see the number and she would tell me the number and trace it. I'd say yes I could and just trace where she had. …
Not easy riders: Aging bikers 3 times more likely to get injured
Thu Feb 7, 2013
Of course those drivers you're talking about make those mistakes with other cars. They never knew a turn signal they wanted to use. Braking distance? Never heard of that! On one of our expressways the is a point where 2 roads intersect on a curve with a reduced speed of 40 mph. Every single day ther …
Hey, lead foot! You're throwing away money
Thu Jan 24, 2013
I am a very courteous driver. Not too many of us left out there. I will pull into the right lane after I've passed the cars and it is safe to do so. Enough room between cars to pull in.
Lost phones keep being tracked to house in Vegas - to owner's frustration
Wed Jan 16, 2013
Agreed. It sounds like he has been patient after letting Sprint know of the problem. If Sprint is really working on it, it shouldn't take long to fix the problem. If it is taking days, or worse, weeks, Sprint should be contacting him on a regular basis to apologize and let him know why it's taking s …
